Gunite
The main material we use for building pools is gunite. Gunite is a malleable material that can be formed into any pool shape possible. Gunite is made out of sand, cement, and water, but it is how these elements are combined that differentiates it from just concrete inground pools. So, because we use gunite, any shape from long and skinny to short and stout is possible with gunite.
Shapes
Pool shapes that are common for backyards that don’t have much space are lane pools & freeform pools. Not every backyard is built as a perfect large square, so freeform pools are great to bend around property boundaries and other obstacles that would otherwise make building a pool impossible. Popular freeform pool shapes are figure-eight shapes, clover shapes, L-shapes, and kidney shapes. How Small is Too Small for an Inground Pool?
Sometimes, unfortunately, a backyard is too small for a pool to be built on it. That doesn’t mean, however, you can’t get a relaxing hot tub, spa, or jacuzzi that is small enough to fit on a small patio or balcony. In fact, Alpha Pools USA also provides hot tub installations along with custom pool installations, so we can truly create an oasis for you, no matter the size of your backyard.
Specifically for custom pools, however, the smallest size we tend to go for is if your backyard is around 600 sq ft.
